A Valedictorian Speech

There is a video on YouTube, titled regret of VALEDICTORIAN. even for the one who has accomplished such an incredible achievement for a mediocre eyes, still has regrets. Then, such a person mush have really high standart for himself.

They keep their bar high, and sometimes for us, as a mediocre really hard to understand them.

Sometimes, such a question came across our mind. What is the standart to differentiate beetwen mediocre and the one higher??

Do they always think of such big things, like changing the world or something?? I don't know.

I just read it from Jeff Keller's book, attitude is everything, He mentioned about words that come out from people, and He splited it into 3 types :

1. Negative ones
2. Mediocre ones, and
3. Positive

And, if I try to conclude it based on that one, the one higher above mediocre is the positive ones.

Just from the words they say, we can see it through

If we walk around on YouTube, we we'll find a lot of them. Multitude of these type are around.

...

It's such a waste if I don't continue the story about valedictorian

Finally, after delaying it for more than dozen other videos, I watched The video, Valedictorian speech.

He told about how he ended up become valedictorian, because last year when he was watching previous valedictorian he envied the one. And he decided gonna work hard, push himself to be one, next year. And yeah... He got that.

"Yeahh,.. Yea.. Ya.. Hh. Ya. Finally, I got it," the feeling of excitement just last for 60 seconds, and then, "Just it. Is it all?? Just it. My hard work all along to get it, just this feeling??"

He keeps questioning about the moment. All the hard work to get the achievement was not easy. So many sacrifices he made to get it. And after thinking about it, there is a lesson learned from what's happening there.

In life, we will face different circumstances to achieve whatever goal we want to achieve. And note it, when we put our mind into it, we will and we can achieve that.

But here is the gem, "along the way to get there, we have to sacrifice many things, but our friendship, our friends, our companions. Never sacrifice them in order to get there. Never."

"When I felt the feeling of accomplishment, it only last for moment, but our friendship, people who helped me, teach me to get here is far more important that the achievement itself"

P.S : what he said wasn't exactly like what I wrote there, but the point is.
